When they say “two heads are better than one”, the fast-growing Double Mahoi Banana makes a perfect example. This incredibly productive Musa mutation of Cavendish bananas produces 2 heads of delicious fruit at a time! Double the bounty with no loss of flavor, the tropical herbaceous perennial gets its name from “mahoi”, the Hawaiian word for twin. 

Reaching an average of 8’ ft tall, the purple striped Double Mahoi tree can be easily grown in a container. However, it cannot be easily found as it is quite the rare specimen- one we are excited for you to grow in your unique garden!
